my magnificent saki cup. Sold on deviantArt to Andy Serrano in Los Angeles for his teacup collection.
My Bryce coffee cup. thrown this past October 2007. Balcones light claybody. Alfred White glaze with black and lobster mason stains. Highfired in gas reduction kiln to cone 10.
I love clay!
My awesome caveman mug! It is brutal. I just love it!
Magic Pagan Raku Saucer
My dragon cup. I carefully traced the Chinese Zodiac character on the side of the cup in water until I was sure I had each stroke right. Then I painted on wax resist to block off the glaze, and dipped the vessel in Keater's Iron glaze. I set it on the shelf to be fired. Then I went back to google where I had copied the chinese character from to check once more on the shape......
It was copied perfectly. Unfortunately, I had looked at the wrong caption. this was for the picture below the word, which I had looked at. Had I scrolled up, I would have then realized that I was looking at the chinese character for "rabbit" ........
anyway, my son and his wife are both rabbits, so now they own this saki cup.
this is Jin's photo of my saki cup that he took in the light tent he got for Christmas. Pretty nice work he does!
I'd tell you the clay body and glaze used on t his one but you don't really care because you don't work in clay.
o well!

Galveston Ferry -- free between Galveston Island and Bolivar Point on High Island.
Last night we did an all night prayer vigil at the church. It was absolutely amazing. The 2gen all went to the church early -- at 10 am -- to spend the day with Jeremy Rogers who is on STF break. He came to town to do various activities with the kids and to give a presentation to the parents about STF.
The last activity Jeremy had kids do was an "Iron Chef" competition judged by Aunt Toshie, Uncle Todd, and my husband.
It was great. They were judged on presentation, taste, and creativity. It was a great competition. I'll try to get some pics up of the food -- but there is no way to photograph how delicious the food tasted! It was great.
The hoon dok and prayers we did were deep and amazing. God really came down and filled each person's heart. It was incredibly deep. We had fun baking cookies at midnight and eating them. We had good meetings and covered points that we needed to get completed for church maintenance and 2gen education.
I wish I could convey the powerful feeling of heart that each person felt at the All Night Vigil. We completed it at 6 am and everyone headed home.
It was an amazing time -- just wonderful.

I just got my Ilford ASA 125 film for my Konica Autoreflex T SLR. The camera was made in 1968 so it is older than most people reading this. A Konica was my first SLR camera. This one I got for $85 bucks off ebay.
I finally figured out how to change to ASA on the shutter speed dial but it took me 20 minutes to figure it out.I just shot 24 black and white pics outside in the late afternoon sun.
I've got to develop the film and then make prints with it. Hope they came out good.

I love to photograph old buildings
so many forgotten stories
so many lingering ghosts
so many memories spurred from the depths of our subconsciousness
-- they sometimes surface, and sometimes not
but always, they disturb our peace and make us confront the passage of time,
and what we did
and what we did not,
and what we should have done.
